We have a futon mattress that got leaked on with water and it sat for awhile before we found out that water had been leaking on it. It smells a bit musty and has water stains on it. Is there anyway to clean this mattress without ruining it? Also, we life in the rainy NW so is there anyway to get it to dry out quickly since we don't get the advantage of heat or alot of sunny days for outside airing.

My carpet steam cleaner has a hand tool attachment for cleaning upholstery. I cannot find a tag on the futon mattress though to see if it says "S" or "W" though.

I am choosing between two futon mattresses. We have to order them online so, please if anyone has experience with either, please let me konw if you liked them and the quality. #1. Which one is a more quality one? The Adonis one says it is a firm mattress. I dont know how comfy it would be then. We use the futon for a living room couch only. The mattress we have now on our futon slips really bad, we are always having to push it up. The simmons will not slip on its own?

I have a regular folding futon with a thicker mattress (not the really thin kind that usually come with iron framed-futons). One side is starting to sink in a bit and I think I'd like a new one soon. I'm looking for one that comfy to sleep on, but doesn't cost much more than $150. Any suggestions on a comfy type of futon mattress? Thanks : )

When my futon mattress is in the couch position it gradually slips off the frame. Nowadays futon frames have these brackets built into the frames to stop the slipping. Barring drilling brackets into the frame, what can I do? Thanks.

I live in Orlando Florida. Very humid and hot. We have a futon sofa that is on a metal frame. Can this set be used outside if under covering? It would get we on occasion, but not often. But it is very hot and humid. If I put the mattress in a waterproof protector, would this protect the mattress? Also, would the frame rust? It is just the basic black metal frame that you get when you buy the futon sofa. Thanks, Brenda- Orlando FL

I bought a futon about a month ago. Some people moved in and have been sleeping on it for a while now. It is almost completely flat. I don't understand it. I guess my question is, why do futon mattresses go flat so fast?

Can I take it home on a bus or subway?
